Installation of Leading-Edge Data Analytics, Visualization Set for World's Fastest Open Science Supercomputer
Argonne National Laboratory recently awarded GraphStream, Inc. a contract to deliver the data analytics and visualization capability for Intrepid, the fastest computer in the world for open science. This new supercomputer installation, nicknamed Eureka, is made possible through the world's largest installation of NVIDIA Quadro® Plex S4 external graphics processing units (GPU).
"Using the NVIDIA Quadro Plex S4 visual computing system as the base graphics building block, Eureka will deliver a quantum leap in visual compute density, enabling breakthrough levels of productivity and capability in visualization and data analysis," said Craig Dunwoody, CEO of GraphStream.
“We’re delighted to be working with our partner GraphStream on the early release of the NVIDIA Quadro® Plex S4 into this special project at Argonne National Labs,” said Jeff Medeiros, senior business development manager, PNY Technologies.

1. Can you tell us about EVL and the work that you do?
Why did EVL standardize on the NVIDIA Quadro® by PNY
graphic solutions?
One of EVL's major research missions is to work with domain scientists who rely on large-scale computing and instrumentation to conduct research. Our mission has always been to develop cutting edge visualization hardware and software to empower these scientists.
EVL has for many years relied on NVIDIA Quadro® FX by PNY graphics boards to solve most of its graphics requirements.
As visualization researchers, we always want the fastest, most powerful graphics boards on the market - NVIDIA Quadro® FX by PNY graphics boards consistently delivers that.
