A key mission of National Geographic over the past 119 years has been to support and chronicle achievements of explorers and to sponsor their scientific expeditions.
The National Geographic Emerging Explorers program seeks out and supports tomorrow’s top adventurers, scientists, photographers, and storytellers.
Emerging Explorers may be selected from virtually any field, from the Society’s traditional arenas of anthropology and archaeology to the worlds of art, music, and filmmaking. Selected explorers represent Edmund Hillarys, Jacques Cousteaus, and Dian Fosseys of the future.
Mission Partners are a select group of corporate partners whose business practices align with National Geographic’s mission to inspire people to care about the planet. Through the support of Mission Partners, National Geographic is able to implement the many important programs that carry out this mission.
